I ordered the school look Koya and it arrived in the mail pretty quickly. Koya is so cute in their Korean school uniform! It reminds me of the school uniforms Koreans wear in Kdramas! The box they came in was not damaged and I’m so glad since I plan on keeping him in the box lol. The box itself is also really adorable. I want to get some of the other school look standing plush dolls as well like Tata or Chimmy! It’s about the exact same size as the other Koya plush doll. It doesn’t look like the clothes are removable so that’s good. School Koya looks so soft! As soon as the package this was in came, I was so happy! I would totally recommend getting this! 🐨💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🐨
it arrived super quick and in good condition but the problem is that it did not come wrapped in bubble wrap, so the box was scratched.
I was incredibly ecstatic when I saw that the Afterschool/School Look BT21 plushes were being sold on LINE FRIEND's USA website. I saw them when they were being sold on the collection website, but held off on getting any. The price on the USA website is a little bit more expensive than the collection website ($28.95 vs $28), but free (and, most likely, faster) shipping is just about $2 away. The plush is also cheaper on Weverse Shop Global ($23.40), but shipping is about $23 right now, so buying these plushes on the USA website is the best option.
Price aside, Koya looks fantastic. There doesn't seem to be any loose threads or major defects. The plush is about the same size as the original Koya standing doll, the '18 Halloween Koya, and the '18 winter Koya. And, unsurprisingly, Koya looks adorable in a uniform. The only tiffs with the plush is that the stitching on the nose is slightly off, and the left sleeve is pushed up the arm a little, but these are very minor details that don't distract from the overall greatness of the plush.
Now, the main problem was the box. It arrived to me dented and partially opened. I'm assuming the box may have burst open because of the heat melting the glue off of the box and the sticker tabs. The heat may have also warped the top and bottom tabs of the box. I'm not entirely sure where the dent on the front came from, as the shipping box was not damaged in any way (although, it was flimsy). Luckily, these flaws were easily mended with some meddling. This also gave me the opportunity to rearrange Koya's ears, so it wasn't all bad. I'm just relieved that there were no gouges or anything of that sort. But there could be some improvement on packaging items like this. There was no bubble wrap or any protective measures for the items inside the shipping box, which could've been helpful to prevent the plush's box from opening, as the sides would be held together more securely. It would also assist in protecting the product from rain damage, if it were going somewhere that was raining.
Perhaps I just got unlucky (already am since these plushes are on a temporary sale the day I'm typing this review, haha - shouldn't have jumped to buy this version of Koya the day of release), but better packaging measures are always a good investment.
